Investigation of Endogenous Viral Elements in Aedes aegypti mosquitoes

A single unidirectional piRNA cluster similar to the flamenco locus is the major source of EVE-derived transcription and small RNAs in Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.

In this work in collaboration with Dr. João Marques, we investigated the diversity and involvement of Endogenous Viral Elements on the genome of Aedes aegypti Mosquito.
